Fulton Street Revival

For Epicenter last Friday we went into the church and prayed for the specific ministries. Then we watched a short video on the Fulton Street Revival . Brad led us on our "journey" and all i told him beforehand was that i wanted to focus on prayer for that night. I love seeing how things unfold at Epicenter when we give others the freedom to lead how they want.

I was stoked to see that Brad chose to highlight the Fulton Street Revival because learning about it was one of the biggest influences in the current restructuring of Epicenter. The first Fulton prayer meeting Jeremiah Lamphier prayed by himself for the first half hour, and only six were there for the second half. Even if no one else would have shown up he still would have had the privilege of spending an hour in prayer with God. Thats one of the reasons i'm not too focused on how big Epicenter is. Our focus for Epicenter is worshiping God through prayer, teaching, and singing and frankly i don't need a bunch of people to do that. Granted, i hope that there is a need for this ministry and that more people find it spiritually edifying but i would much rather have 10 people that are growing than 30 that are being entertained.
