For Epicenter last Friday we went into the church and prayed for the specific ministries. Then we watched a short video on the Fulton Street Revival . Brad led us on our "journey" and all i told him beforehand was that i wanted to focus on prayer for that night. I love seeing how things unfold at Epicenter when we give others the freedom to lead how they want.
I was stoked to see that Brad chose to highlight the Fulton Street Revival because learning about it was one of the biggest influences in the current restructuring of Epicenter. The first Fulton prayer meeting Jeremiah Lamphier prayed by himself for the first half hour, and only six were there for the second half. Even if no one else would have shown up he still would have had the privilege of spending an hour in prayer with God. Thats one of the reasons i'm not too focused on how big Epicenter is. Our focus for Epicenter is worshiping God through prayer, teaching, and singing and frankly i don't need a bunch of people to do that. Granted, i hope that there is a need for this ministry and that more people find it spiritually edifying but i would much rather have 10 people that are growing than 30 that are being entertained.

Yes we're meeting two weeks in a row.
This Friday the 7th will be the first Friday of September and therefore Epicenter will be meeting.
Henceforth, Epicenter shall commence on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month. On the months that contain 5 Fridays, November 2007 and February 2008, we will have the opportunity to do something special or out of the ordinary. Seeing as August was the first month there was really no ordinary to be "out of" so we just had a regular meeting.
I hope this clears up any confusion and i hope to see you this Friday. Melissa will be bringing the music and Scot will be bringing his Bible. (He won't necessarily use it much but he'll have it just in case.) But seriously bring your Bibles and a story of what God has done in/with your life.
