To honor the fact that November has an extra Friday, Epicenter, the college/young adult ministry of Faith Baptist Church is throwing a BIG OL' PARTY and YOU'RE invited! The Fifth Friday Festivus will include:
FOOD - Everyone is asked to bring something to contribute to the Festivus Dinner. It's the usual covered dish drill (you know, actual FOOD). No one has to bring a feast or anything, but a step above just chips would be appreciated.
GAMES - Not one but TWO rooms full of gaming goodness will be in action during Festivus, one for classic board and card games, and another filled with those newfangled "video games" the kids seem to love. Not exactly Feats of Strength, but it'll be fun!
ANIME - That's right. The infamous Wake Forest Anime Nights are going to invade Youngsville in a BIG way! All night long, the coolest examples of Japanese animation will be running on a BIG SCREEN!
COOL PEOPLE - Well, this one really depends on you. Show up! Bring friends! The more cool people we have to hang out with, the more fun it'll be!
Time: People are requested to arrive around 6:30 pm to get the food out (anyone interested in helping set up before hand or bringing video game equipment, contact Scot at thriftshopvinyl@yahoo.com). Movies and stuff should start at 7 pm.
Location: Um... Well, it'll be at Faith, that's for sure. Everyone who was told we'd be in The Brick House: sorry, but it's already taken. We'll know for sure where we'll be in the main building soon, and there WILL be signs to guide you.
Well, that's all for now. We'll tell you more about what's going on once this Thanksgiving this is out of the way :)
See ya there!
p.s. I (Scot) accidentally posted something on this site that was intended for my personal blog. I was in a hurry to post in between classes and i accidentally signed into the wrong account; i'm sorry about that.

Last night i led us in a quick study on humble servanthood using john 13:1-17. Then, we proceeded to wash each others feet (literally). It went really well and everyone participated. Then, to end the night, Simon and i led the music time of worship. I played the giutar and sang and Simon played the cello. It was quite fun playing with a cello and hopefully it made up for the lackluster guitar playing.
Afterwards we hung out at the Shire and basically just talked and hung out. I really love the relationships that are being grown.
